How it works
Open Find Your Table in your dashboard and set up your tables on the seating map: how many, how many seats, round or long, and a number or a name like “Sunflower” or “The Rockies”. Then drag your guests onto them. Each table shows its seats filling up, so you can see at a glance where there’s room. Anyone in a guest’s party sits with them, so you seat each invitation once.
When you’re ready, switch it on and print the QR sign. Guests scan it with their phone camera and a simple page opens on your event’s address. They type their name, tap Find my table, and their table appears in large letters.
Seat everyone in minutes
- Drag and drop guests from “Not seated” onto a table, or from one table to another. On a phone, tap a guest and then tap their table.
- Prefer a list? Type each guest’s table, or select several guests and seat them in one go.
- Already planned it in a spreadsheet? Copy the name and table columns and paste them in. MyGala matches the names to your guest list and lists any it couldn’t find.
- See how many people are at each table, and who hasn’t been seated yet.
- Rename a table and everyone at it moves with it.
- Hide guests who can’t come, so you only seat the ones who are.
Friendly for every guest
Guests don’t need an app or an account, and they don’t need to type their name perfectly. Accents and capital letters don’t matter, and part of a name works: “ana m” finds Ana Martínez. If several guests share a name, they’re asked for their full name. The page follows your event’s language: English, French or Spanish.
Private by design
- Guests only see the names that match what they type, with their tables.
- When too many guests match a search, nobody is shown and the guest is asked for their full name, so the plan can’t be read letter by letter.
- If your page is password protected, guests enter the password before they can look anything up.
- The page is hidden from search engines.

Add your guests
Guests look up their table by the name on your guest list. Import them from a spreadsheet or your contacts, or add them one by one.

In Find Your Table, create your tables and drag your guests onto them, or use the List to type tables or paste your chart from a spreadsheet.
Open Find Your Table →Switch it on and print the sign
Turn on “Let guests look up their table”, then print the QR sign (one large sign, or four smaller cards per page) or download the code as a PNG for your own design.
Test it, then put it at the entrance
Scan the sign with your phone and look up a guest or two. Put the sign at the entrance, the welcome table or the bar.

Frequently asked questions
Do guests need an app?
No. Guests scan the QR code with their phone camera, and the page opens in their browser. There’s nothing to install and no account to create.
Can guests see the whole seating chart?
No. Guests only see the guests whose names match what they type, with their tables. If too many guests match, nobody is shown until they type their full name.
What if I change a table after printing the sign?
That’s the point. The sign always opens the latest seating, so you can move guests right up to the moment they arrive, with nothing to reprint.
What about plus-ones and children?
They sit with the guest who invited them. A plus-one who looks up their own name won’t find it, so the page suggests trying the name of the person they came with. You can also add plus-ones to your guest list by name and give them a table.
Can I use table names instead of numbers?
Yes. A table can be anything up to 60 characters: “Table 12”, “Sunflower”, “Head table” or “The Rockies”.
Can I paste my seating chart from Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Copy the guest name and table columns and paste them in. MyGala matches each name to your guest list and lists any it couldn’t find, so you can add them.
Does it work with my own domain and a password-protected page?
Yes. With a custom domain, the sign uses your own address, such as yournames.com/table. If your page is password protected, guests enter the password first.
Is it free?
Find Your Table is part of MyGala Plus, a one-time payment per event with no subscription. On a free page you can still seat all your guests, and the lookup turns on as soon as you upgrade.
